Aceitunas Alba produces and markets a wide range of olive varieties and flavours, such as traditional Manzanilla olive, Sevillana, Gazpacha, Gordal and black olives. We also produce a wide range of pickles: gherkins, sweet and spicy banderillas, tapas and tapenones, and baby onions. All of this is combined with different formats and packaging sizes ideal for retail and catering.<\/p>\n
The name Gordal (\u201cthe fat one\u201d) is due to its shape (rounded) and to its weight (over 6 gr.) Its production area is mainly in the province of Seville (Andalusia), which is why this olive is also called \u201cGordal Sevillana\u201d. However there are also plantations of this variety of olive in other Spanish provinces such as C\u00f3rdoba and Huelva. Due to its low oil content, it is used exclusively for processing as an eating olive, and not for oil extraction.<\/p>\n
Our pitted spicy Gordal Olives are simply to die for! What makes Gordal Olives so special is their fine and delicate flavor similar to the Manzanilla olive, and a firm, crunchy, meaty texture.
